After Care Options
The Bay offers a solid, practical framework to anchor you during your transition from retreat to home. We structure your After Care program in consultation with you and the clinical team so that it meets your unique needs. Where required, and appropriate, one of our team members can accompany you home to support your transition.
The After Care plans below are for use as a guide only.
Intensive After Care
This is our highest level of support and is recommended in the initial stages following your intensive retreat. Intensive After Care, tapered as you are ready, allows space for you to practice your new skills and ease into natural independence.

- Initial overnight care which is gradually reduced
- Part-time chef
- Twice weekly or weekly counselling
- On-going medical care
- Acupuncture and Naturopathic consultation
- Relapse prevention education
- Individual and group meditation
- Strategies for the management of anxiety and depression
- Shiatsu or massage
- Personal trainer
- Dance, pilates or art classes
- Chi Kung or Yoga
- Beauty therapy treatments
- Participation in sporting or other recreational activities such as golf, swimming, surfing, tennis, diving or hang gliding
Supported After Care
This After Care program offers an intermediate level of support and eases your return home by preparing resources and support networks to nurture your sustainable recovery. This supports and encourages your own sustainable level of independence, allowing time to integrate your new awareness into daily life.
Example of program components:

- Weekly counselling sessions by telephone
- A relapse prevention program
- A personally tailored daily program
